My Golf 1 GTi 1800 and Golf GTi 16S Oettinger...

Hi all. I'm a MK1 enthusiast from Norway and I just wanted to present my two beauties for you... I have a 1984 VW Golf 1 GTi 1800 completely original and a 1983 VW Golf 1 GTi 16S Oettinger which I bough in France a couple of years ago... It is now being totally restored so it'll be as new whne summer of 2009 kicks in

Sorry for the lack of updates. The car is soon ready from the paintshop. More will happen this spring. It is too damn cold in this country to restore cars during winter...

Good wheels original oetinger, ats cup 5.5/15.

The Oettinger seemed to be pretty mint before be restored.

And what about your other mk1, any evolution in plans ?

The Oettinger was not in the condition I would call mint but in fair to good condition. When I'm done with it, it will be 100% mint It has the original 6x14 ATS Cup actually but I have four brand new 7x15 ATS Cup rims that will be mounted when the car is done.

As for the 1800 GTi I have no plans with it other than keeping it in original condition. As for now it has yellow Koni dampers with Eibach springs lowering the car 20mm, steel wound break hoses and drilled brakediscs and racing breakpads. The engine is original.
